Paragould, Ark.- Freed-Hardeman University defeated the Pioneers for the second time this season, with another 3-set sweep over CRC. This time, the Lions bested the Pioneers on their home court in the Carter Activities Center. The visiting Lions busted out three double-digit, powerful kill sets to evade the Pioneers' revenge effort. In the opening set, FHU used 15 kills to outlast the Pioneers with extra frames, 27-25. Set two, FHU grew their lead with an eight-point spread, 25-17, before finishing off the Pioneers with a game-high of 17 kills in the last frame to scrape out the 25-23 point win. The Pioneers' own kills were spread throughout the team, with Brooklyn Cross leading the effort with 5. Mallory Hollis added 8 digs defensively, with Amiyah Saxton collecting 5 blocks (4 solo) for the Pioneers. Lastly, reigning AMC Setter of the Week, Jillian Glasgow, paced the team with 9 assists, followed by Maddie Burris with 6. The Pioneers fall to (3-9) on the year.
