Kennett, MO- Pioneer Golf wrapped up their season-opening invitational in Kennett, MO today with the Pioneers staying in the same position as yesterday's halfway mark standings. The team ended the tournament 5th overall with senior Isaac Langley taking the spotlight with a phenomenal two days of play, as he earned hardware with fourth best overall score.

Isaac Langley entered play today in a five-way tie for second overall in the tournament. When the final putt was made on day two Langley added three strokes,(75), from his day one performance and dropped one position down deadlocking in a three-way tie for third. After a scorecard playoff Langley was ultimately awarded 4th overall in the invitational. The senior finished with a total of 147 swings in his final season-opening invitational.

Senior Creston Sweet, like day one, tracked Langley and finished second overall for the team. Sweet also added some swings to his score as he found 4 more than yesterday's effort. Sweet wrapped up day two with a score of (79) giving him 154 hacks and in 9th overall.

Bradie Gunther crossed the finish line in the same position as yesterday for the 'Neers. Gunther would stand alone on the men's team as he was the only Pioneer to lose strokes in his day two performance. Gunther dropped 3 strokes as he matched Sweet's (79) stroke effort. This gave Gunther a total of 161 strokes and landed him 14th overall.

New Pioneer Walker Hibbs held down the four-spot on the team over both days of play. Hibbs added 2 swings to his score, shooting an 85 in his final 18 holes. Hibbs racked up 168 swings in the Invitational leaving him in 20th overall.

Matt Crabtree closed out the Pioneer 5-man team as the senior shot a second day of (95). Crabtree totaled 190 strokes over the two-day tournament and ended in 24th overall.

The women's side of things seemed to stay the same as Maddie Minyard led once again. Minyard joined Bradie Gunther in the stroke-losing business as she dropped an impressive 6 swings from her day one score. Minyard's score of (98), gave her a total of 202 strokes, and was in 15th overall. Shelby Razer finished out her collegiate debut by adding one stroke to her game. Razer finished the invitational with a total of 235 swings and in 17th overall.
