Women's Basketball Picks up Third Win- Wil Teague, Sports Information Director, 11/5/24

Lady Pioneer Basketball picked up their third win of the season as they defeated the Lady Pioneers of Campbellsville University at Harrodsburg this evening 75-48. WBB improves their win streak to three, remaining undefeated on the year.

CRC- 75

CUH- 48

Harrodsburg, KY- In this evening's win, the Lady Pioneers started sluggishly in the opening half, allowing CUH to stay within reach before an overwhelming offensive push from the Lady Pioneers of CRC in the third quarter ensured victory. At the end of the opening quarter, Crowley's Ridge barely led CUH as the Lady Pioneers held a small gap of just five points, 17-12. In set two, the Lady Pioneers would improve their position by going on late quarter run to lead by as much as 14 with just over 3:00 minutes before the halftime break, but a CUH retaliation would make CRC settle for a 33-21 point lead at the break. The game-altering quarter took place in the pivotal third quarter as CRC bucketed their best performance of 31 points, shooting 64.7% from the floor to take their demanding lead over CUH and coast to their biggest separation win of the season.

Brooklyn Kearbey led the Lady Pioneers with 17 points, shooting 8-12 for the night (.667%). Travia Woodruff followed with 15 points. Joi Montgomery kept her double-double streak alive as the junior led the team with 13 rebounds and added 11 points in the win.

Up Next: CRC WBB will travel to Springdale, Ark. to take on Ecclesia College, and former Head Women's Coach Brad Phillips, on November 11th at 5:00 PM. #GOPIONEERS
