Women's Basketball got back in the win column yesterday afternoon after defeating Welch College on the road in Gallatin, TN. The Pioneers have now improved to 13-9 on the season and remain 3-3 In conference play.
Gallatin, TN- The Flames of Welch College took the lead early in the match but CRC quickly got the 3-ball working as the Pioneers' first two buckets came from behind the arc. Reigiana Ward sank back-to-back shots regaining the lead 6-5 over the Flames. The lead would change three different times in this quarter with Octavia Lowery nailing the third three of the game for CRC with 1:41 left in the quarter allowing the Pioneers to enter the second up by one, 13-12. In the second quarter, the Pioneers began to pull away from the Flames by busting out with an 11-2 run, climbing ahead 25-14. At the 6:23 mark, a layup from Lindsey Browning capped off the CRC run. Crowley's kept their double-digit lead going into the break as they entered up 33-23. In quarter three, CRC claimed its most significant game lead, producing a 23-point quarter. CRC pulled ahead by as much as 22 points at the halfway mark in the third with another 3-point shot, this one coming from Octavia Lowery. Pioneers enter the final quarter with a substantial lead over the Flames, 56-36. Crowley's Ridge finished the game with 4 more three-pointers in the last quarter ending the game with an impressive stat line from behind the arc, shooting 12-23 on a 52.2 percentage. The Pioneers defeated the Flames 74-55.

Octavia Lowery led the Pioneers with 19 points and 3 rebounds. Brinley Morgan ended the night with 11 points and 8 rebounds including going a perfect 3-3 from behind the arc.
