Crowley's Ridge College entered tonight's contest (5-3) on the season after a solid win against Division Three Grenville University last Saturday, December 3rd. The Lady Pioneers hosted the Lady Mustangs of Central Baptist College tonight, (3-4), in the Carter Activities Center. Crowley's Ridge would control the game for almost its entirety, until a late push by the visiting Mustangs took the lead and victory.

Quarter one, Brinley Morgan would hog the spotlight. The Fox, Arkansas native would open the game with back to back threes including being fouled on the 2nd attempt allowing her to sink the free throw for the four point play. The very next possession, Reigiana Ward grabbed an offensive rebound, and linked up with Morgan for the assist which allowed her to score the first nine points for the Pioneers. Morgan then had back to back assists to different Pioneers as they ended their 15-2 run. CBC would chip back and end the first quarter trailing 17-12.

Second quarter, the Pioneer defense held the Mustang attack to just 6 points.  Lindsey Browning opened up her game with sinking three points from the charity stripe,  while Alayzah Foster entered the stat sheet by grabbing 4 points for the Pioneers. Foster would also impact the defensive side of the ball by stopping a fast break by CBC with a solo block and steal in favor of CRC. The Pioneers entered the break up 29-18.

Quarter three, the Pioneers would see their lead shrink as they were outscored by the Mustangs 19-14. Linsdey Browning went back to back with buckets in the paint with assists from Sierrah Floyd.  What would help keep the Pioneers ahead would be a late three by Micklaya Smith to increase the gap to 6, 43-37.

Quarter four, the team in green would hang onto the lead until CBC made a jump shot at the 3:38 mark where they took the lead for the first time, 49-48. Crowley's Ridge wouldn't retake the lead until Lindsey Browning dished the ball out beyond the arc where Brinley Morgan hit her third three of the evening at the 1:52 mark. The Mustangs battled back and with less than 90 seconds in the game the lead would transition 5 times between both teams. Lindsey Browning pushed the Pioneers on top with a bucket with 40 seconds left in the contest to give CRC a 55-54 lead. What would finally doom the Pioneers would be an offensive rebound by the Mustangs that drew a foul. The Mustangs sank both free throws, retaking the lead and sealing the win 56-55.

Leaders:

Brinley Morgan led the Pioneers in Points with 14. Lindsey Browning added 11 points and 4 assists in the contest.
