Lane College Dragons Snatch Two at Pioneer Park- Wil Teague, Sports Information Director, 4/1/25
Pioneer Softball (10-16) dropped both contests to the Dragons of Lane College (11-20), being bested 4-2 in game one before dropping game two, 1-0.

Paragould, Ark.- NCAA DII Lane College took the opening contest 4-2, scoring three runs in the top of the first inning and pushing a final run to the plate in the third through the Pioneer defense. Lilly Wessel brought in the Pioneer's two runs of the contest with the junior hitting her 3rd homerun of the season, sending a two-run shot over the power alley in left center, scoring Hadlee DeFries. Crowley's Ridge stranded 11 runners on the base paths while collecting 10 hits in the game. DeFries, Karsen Overshine, Jocelyn Villarreal, and Olivia Lanham each had two hits in the game. Wessel led the offense, going 1 for 3 with an HR and 2 RBI, Overshine added a 2 for 4 with two doubles effort in the loss. Halea Wells took the loss, falling to 2-6 on the season, allowing 4 runs (2 earned) off 5 hits in 3.0 innings.

Paragould, Ark.- Junior RHP Natalie Brightwell was handed her third loss of the year, falling to 6-3 from inside the circle, being edged by the Dragons one to nil in game two. The Dragon offense linked two extra base hits in the top of the sixth to score their lone run of the contest with a two-out double to centerfield. Both teams were limited to four-hit efforts; Karsen Overshine, Lilly Wessel, Kylie Cox, and Jordan Janak each had a single in the game for CRC. Brightwell allowed 1 run off 3 hits, walking 1 and fanning 5 in 6.0 innings.
