XC Hits the Trail in the Steve Guymon XC Invite- Wil Teague, Sports Inforamtion Director, 9/12/25
Searcy, Ark.- Eight Pioneer runners hit the trail in Searcy, Ark., at the Steve Guymon XC Invite hosted by Harding University, with the Men's team having a full team of 5 compete in the race and the Women's team having three Pioneers represent CRC.
For the Men, Arthur Johnson, Anthony Holladay, Owenn Marino, Nate Ferguson, and Mark Eagleman took to the course and would place 11th as a team with Johnson leading the pack. Johnson finished the 5-K with an official time of 27:30.3 for a 6:52.6 mile split, taking 62nd overall. Sophomore Mark Eagleman took his 3rd second-place finish of the year, crossing with a 28:43.2 (7:10.9 split) for 67th overall. Taking third for the Pioneers would be freshman Owenn Marino, who crossed with a 30:30.5 (7:37.7 split), placing 75th. Anthony Holladay made his season debut, finishing fourth for the squad with an official time of 43:07.3 (10:46.9 split) to earn 83rd place. Bringing up the rear for the team was senior runner Nate Ferguson, who crossed with a time of 47:36.4 (11:54.1 split) to claim 86th place.
In the Women's division, only one runner, sophomore Aimee Buckley, would finish the race for the Pioneers, with teammates Bailey Houseman and Madison Prysock receiving DNS. Buckley completed the 5-K with a time of 29:21.8 (12:40.0 split) to take 68th place in the invitational.
Up Next: The Pioneers will take a small break before traveling to Blue Mountain University to compete in the Topper Trail College Classic on September 27th.
