Searcy, Ark.- Crowley's Ridge College Men's Cross Country opened their season with a wet, soggy, and chilly invitational as the Pioneers made the short trip down to Searcy, Arkansas to compete in the fourth Annual Steve Guymon Invitational hosted at Harding University. The team as a whole had a new outlook as all five runners made their CRC XC debut as well as their commander and chief, Andrew Brown, making his head coaching debut.

In this evening's four-mile run, CRC had four freshmen and one junior compete in the meet with freshman Mark Eagleman leading the charge. Eagleman crossed the finished first for the Pioneers as the Kansas native paced the group with a final time of 28:03. Finishing up behind Eagleman would be a pair of freshmen with Trent Siemens crossing at the 31:13 mark and Dayton Skaggs hot on his trail with a final time of 31:45. Junior Nate Ferguson crossed fourth for the team with a time of 39:12 with freshman Blake Gaebler rounding off the team with a fifth-place finish of 40:01.

Up Next: Cross Country takes a week off before they hit the trail again on September 20th at the Larry Young Invitational hosted by Columbia College. #GOPIONEERS
