Springfield, MO- Men's Golf wrapped up their Spring opener with their best round as a team, as all four members would produce their lowest scorecard of the Invitational in the final 18 holes to combine for a +32 (320 strokes) in the round. The team showed consistent improvement, knocking off the rust from their action drought since October 2025 in each round, ending as a whole in 10th place, +161 over par with 1,025 strokes for the three-round event.
Freshman Christopher Riddle maintained his team position, once again leading the Pioneers with a +2 (74 strokes) in the final round. Riddle tallied up 236 strokes to end the event +20 over par, and thanks to his second consecutive low round, Riddle would leap up 13 slots over all the land in at 15th individually.
Christian Walls earned a second-place finish behind Riddle with a +10 (82 strokes) in his third round, lowering his scorecard from rounds one and two by three strokes and bringing his total to 236 strokes, +36 over par for the tournament, placing him 41st overall.
Slayde Barker took third on the team, despite finishing up the tournament with the second-lowest score in round three, with the freshman shooting +8 over (80 strokes). Barker compiled 261 strokes, +45 over par, to place him up four slots to 46th overall.
Kyle Russell took home the fourth-place finish for the Pioneers, even after cutting his day one scores in half with his +12 (84 strokes) in round three. Russell totaled +60 over par with 276 strokes for the three-round event, placing him 53rd overall.
