Pioneer Golf Takes Fourth In CBC Invitational- Wil Teague, Sports Inforamtion Director, 10/14/25
Conway, AR- Pioneer Golf concluded their 2025 Fall schedule on a high note, jumping one slot on the overall team finish to take fourth place in Central Baptist College's Fall Invitational. The Pioneers totaled 942 strokes in the 54-hole event, ending (+78) over par.
Individual Finishes
Christopher Riddle bounced back in his third round on the green, shooting a 73 (+1), which propelled the Pioneer to his best tournament finish of the Fall. The Boron, CA native added three more birdies to his scorecard in round three, bringing his invitational total to 10, while also chipping in for eagle on hole 9 in today's round. Riddle would finish with 223 total swings (+7) and narrowly miss a top 5 finish with the team pacer taking 7th place in the invite.
Christian Walls would also improve his score back to his round one effort with the Paragould native shooting a 76 (+4) for the second time this tournament in round three. Walls sank two more birdies, totaling 5 for the event, giving him the second-place finish for the team with 216 swings (+18) for a 21st-place finish overall.
Blake Brothers took third with his in-between round three score card of 79 (+7) after shooting an 82 in round one and 76 in round two for the event. Brothers also sank two birdies for the day, bringing his total for the tournament to four. The sophomore would total 237 swings (+21), placing 25th overall in the tournament.
Slayde Barker crossed fourth for the team with the freshman shooting his tournament-best round of 80 (+8) in today's 18. The freshman found the ever elusive birdie by sinking his sole birdie of the tournament on hole 15 in today's round. Barker totaled 247 (+31) swings to take 31st overall.
Like yesterday, Kyle Russell would finish in the team alternate position with the senior wrapping up the event with three birdies and 267 swings (+51), placing 38th overall.
Up Next: With the final putt of the 2025 Fall schedule, the program looks towards the Spring, where they will open their season and work their way towards the American Midwest Conference tournament. #GOPIONEERS
