Batesville, Ark.- Pioneer Golf hit the course in the season's second invitational, this time traveling to Batesville, AR, to participate in NCAA DIII Lyon College's Fall Invite. After the opening 18 holes of today's round, the Pioneers sit in 9th place as a team, totaling 404 swings as a squad and sitting +44 over par. 

Individually for the team, young Pioneers Christopher Riddle and Christian Walls led the group with both freshmen shooting a 76 on the round, ending +4 over par and narrowly missing the top ten in the tournament; being tied for 11th place overall. Each freshman would find one birdie on the day, with Riddle sinking his on hole 11 and Walls finding the make-up stroke on hole 14.

Finishing in the middle of the pack for the team was sophomore Blake Brothers, who tallied a round score of 89 (+17) through the opening 18, bettering his back nine by losing one stroke off his game, placing him 53rd overall. Finishing fourth for the team was freshman Slayde Barker, who followed Brother's heels with a score of 91 (+19), settling him in at 54th individually. Lastly, senior Kyle Russell would round off the team with the Walnut Ridge, AR native finishing up with a score card of 100 (+28), settling in at 60th overall.
