Pioneers fall in road game

PENSACOLA, Fla. - Pensacola Christian made 11 three-pointers led by A.J. Ward with four for six three-pointers and finished with a game-high 32 points en route to an 85-77 win over the Pioneers of Crowley's Ridge College.

CRC (0-3) led by five points midway through the first half but Pensacola Christian (1-4) took a 45-35 led into the half.

PCC led by as many as 17 points with 5:12 to play in the game. Crowley's Ridge battled back but ran out of time before falling by eight points in the loss.

Braxton Cousins led the Pioneers with a double-double on the night with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Ke Roberson finished with 18 points, and Jayden Smith added 12 points on the night.

Crowley's Ridge will spend the night in Florida before retaking the floor in Pensacola against Toccoa Falls (Ga.) College at 1 p.m.
