PARAGOULD, Ark. - Xavier University (La.) opened the second half with a 16-3 run to stretch a 32-28 halftime lead en route to an 80-56 win over the Crowley's Ridge College Pioneers.
CRC (9-16) struggled with 23 turnovers on the day and only shot 21 of 52 from the floor for 40.4% in the loss. The Pioneers struggled from the three-point line also shooting six of 21 from deep.
Kyle Moore and Braeden Williams led CRC with 12 points each.
In the first half CRC handled the Xavier (10-3) pressure defense and trailed by four at the half. There were six lead changes in the first half and the score was tied five times.
UP NEXT
Crowley's Ridge will travel to the Music City for a matchup with the Flames of Welch (Tenn.) College. CRC and Welch met earlier this season with the Pioneers escaping with a 100-94 victory. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. after the Lady Flames and Lady Pioneers play their rematch.
