St. Louis, MO- Pioneer Baseball entered this weekend's American Midwest Conference series against the Eutectics of UHSP on a hot streak, after picking up two blowout home wins back on Tuesday, but would face a cold front in the conference series opener. In tonight's matchup, UHSP limited the Pioneer offense to 4 runs off 3 hits while scoring 14 runs off 13 hits themselves. Along with the limited offense, the Pioneers surrendered 6 errors defensively, only aiding the Eutectic cause. Junior JP Wills drove in half of the Pioneer's runs with fielder's choice's, and sophomore Reece Bariola took care of the other half, scoring on wild pitches. Bariola led the offense, going 1-2 with a double, 3 walks, and 2 runs scored. Junior Rilyn Coleman and sophomore Lawson DeVault each added a hit in the loss.
Up Next: The Pionneers will look to bounce back against the Eutectics in tomorrow's doubleheader. First pitch is set for 1:00 PM #GOPIONEERS
