Game Two: (7-innings)
Crowley's Ridge- 0
Mission University- 16
Springfield, MO- Mission University claimed the middle contest of the series with a steep score of 16-0, handing the Pioneers their first shutout loss of the season. A dominant pitching performance from the Patriots lefthander, Jude Tenny, proved to be the kryptonite for the Pioneers, with the team only collecting two hits in the contest. Junior Rilyn Coleman claimed both hits, as the Idabel, OK native went 2-2 with a double in the loss. From the rubber, the Pioneers' bullpen surrendered 12 walks, which only aided Mission University's run support.
Game Three: (9-innings)
Crowley's Ridge- 5
Mission University- 11
Springfield, MO- Crowley's Ridge challenged the Patriots in the series finale, summoning a series high hit effort with both teams washing even at 11 in the contest and the Pioneer pitching staff cutting their surrendered free bases in half. Still, the difference-maker was Mission's ability to fully capitalize on the Pioneer walks with timely hits to maximize damage. In the opening frame, the Patriots scored 5 runs off 3 hits and 2 walks in response to CRC's Reece Bariola's RBI double in the top half of the frame. From that point on, Mission would hold the high ground and would not surrender it. Junior Parker Gordon led the offense, driving in three runs with a sacrifice fly in the second and a 2 RBI double in the third to end the day 2-4. Senior Kolby Webb knocked in the fifth and final CRC run with a solo homer (Webb's 4th on the year) in the 8th to also go 2-4. Juniors Rilyn Coleman and JP Wills also added two hits in the contest, with the duo collecting a pair of singles.
