Springfield, MO - Mission University claimed the opening contest of the three-game American Midwest Confercne series with a powerful 17-hit performance to win 19-4 over the Pioneers. Despite the outcome of the game, CRC's Reece Bariola cracked the scoreboard to give the Pioneers the first lead. The sophomore connected with a double in the opening ining to score Lawson DeVault and Aiden Smith, but an 11-run response in the bottom of the second by the Patriots would be enough to separate the two teams for good. CRC rallied 6 hits in the game, Parker Gordon led the team, going 2-3. Bariola led in RBIs with 2. Brayden Mashek took the loss for the Pioneers.
