Baseball Takes Series Against Dallas Christian- Wil Teague, Sports Inforamtion Director, 2/7/26

Game Three:

Crowley's Ridge- 8

Dallas Christian- 6

Dallas, TX- The Pioneers picked up a game three win over the Crusaders of DCC in the opening game this afternoon, after an extra-inning sweat concluded in favor of the Pioneers. The contest had a combined 18 hits, but narrowed down to just one, with sophomore Ricky Requena's 2 RBI single in the top of the 8th being the ultimate trump card and game-sealing base knock. The Pioneers played the long con, waiting until the top of the 7th inning to tie the Crusaders' score, scoring a game-tying 6 runs to the plate before winning the contest the following inning. The Pioneers scored their 8 runs off 10 hits and were led by Aiden Smith, who was (3-4) with a double and an RBI. Kolby Webb added a (2-5) day at the plate with 2 RBIs, and Lawson Devault added the final multi-hit effort, going (2-4) with two singles. Requena led the team in RBIs, driving in 3 with his (1-4) game. Sophomore Brayden Mashek took the no-decision, tossing 5.0 innings, allowing 3 runs (2 earned) off 4 hits with 1 walk and 3 punches.  Jesse Gorman earned the win, closing the game with his 2.0 innings, allowing 2 hits, walking 1, and striking out 4. 


Game Four:

Crowley's Ridge-11

Dallas Christian- 9

Dallas, TX- Things again would go in favor of the Pioneers in the final contest, with CRC defeating the Crusaders 11-9 to earn the team's first series win of the year. The Pioneers rolled their offense performances from the previous contests into the finale, outhitting Dallas Christian for the fourth time, 9-7. Crowley's Ridge did the majority of the damage in the 4th inning, where the Pioneers mounted the comeback, seeing a series high 8-runs score in the inning. The Pioneer offense spread the love as 9 individual players recorded a hit in the game. They were led by Ricky Requena, JP Wills, and Lawson Devault, who all drove in 2 RBIS with their knock. Thomas Lamb picked up his first win of the year, coming in relief, while Parker Gordon earned the save in the win.
