MOORE, Okla. – The Pioneers of Crowley's Ridge College completed a four-game road sweep over the Randall (Okla.) University Saints by picking up a pair of Saturday wins. Game one saw two home runs as CRC got the win 8-6. The Pioneers kept the momentum alive by cruising to a game two victory 15-9.

GAME ONE

For the second time in as many games, Crowley's Ridge (3-0) spotted Randall three runs in the bottom of the opening inning. Cauy Hollis rocketed a double into left field scoring two before wrapping around to score a run of his own.

The big inning for the Pioneers was the top of the third when Phoenix Beal blasted a three-run homer (1) to take the lead after Kole Simms opened the inning with a single and a run. The lead would not last when Randall (0-9) had another three-run inning on a set of three singles.

Junior Bobby Wright decided to take matters into his own hands by sending a 2-0 fastball careening over the left-field fence for a two-run home run (1). The blast tied the squads at 6-6 after four full innings.

The Pioneers plated the go-ahead run came in the form of Garett Wilson, courtesy running after Beal's single.

Starter Corbett Seib closed the game by tossing four scoreless innings to earn his first win on the season. The junior recorded four strikeouts while giving out two free passes.

Beal once again led his team offensively, being the only Pioneer with multiple hits (2) and driving in three runs.

GAME TWO

As if he was not having a hot enough start to his season, Phoenix Beal continued his blistering pace by starting the second game with a two-run home run (2) to left. Coupled with Trey Gossett driving in Nate Finney, the Pioneers (4-0) jumped ahead to a 3-0 lead before the Saints had an at-bat.

Zach Duty took advantage of two Randall (0-10) errors by wrapping around the bases to score the Pioneers' fourth run of the game. The Saints used a Pioneer error in the home half of the second inning to score their first run of the game behind Crowley's Ridge 4-1.

Pioneer plate discipline showed off in the third inning by drawing four walks from the Saint pitching staff. Joined with three hit batsmen, CRC capitalized on a rough RU inning by scoring four runs while only having one hit in the inning.

Crowley's Ridge effectively put the game out of reach with a five-hit and five-run fourth inning, capped off by a two-run double from Bobby Wright. The Saints tried to use their half of the fourth inning to close the gap by scoring four runs of their own, but the Pioneer damage had already been done, sailing to a 15-9 win.

Chipper Lamb earned his first win of the season by tossing four innings, striking out two Saint batsmen. Nick Garrett came on in relief to keep Randall at bay over the final two innings.

Gossett ended the evening with a three-hit game, driving in one run while scoring two. Also with multiple hits was Beal and Duty who both collected a pair of hits.

Five Pioneers drove in multiple runs led by Noah Overshine's three. Beal, Duty, Finney, and Wright all drove in two runs each.
