PARAGOULD, Ark. – The 2025-26 season will be remembered as one of the most productive and impactful years in Crowley's Ridge College Baseball history.
Fueled by a high-powered offense that ranked among the best in the NAIA, the Pioneers shattered numerous program records, earned conference and statewide recognition, and established themselves as one of the nation's premier offensive teams.
The Pioneers finished the season ranked among the NAIA leaders in several offensive categories, placing eighth nationally in on-base percentage (.449), 12th in batting average (.336), 14th in hit-by-pitches (109), and 22nd in slugging percentage (.515). Within the American Midwest Conference, CRC led the league in batting average, on-base percentage, and RBIs while finishing second in both home runs and slugging percentage, behind Columbia College.
The success translated directly into the program record book. For the program, the 2025-26 squad either broke or tied school records in batting average (.336), hits (397), doubles (89), home runs (52), RBIs (349), runs scored (398), stolen bases (60), on-base percentage (.449), walks (205), hit-by-pitches (109), and at-bats (1,430). Their ability to consistently reach base, generate power, and pressure opposing defenses made the Pioneers a force to reckon with throughout the spring.
Several individual performances highlighted the historic campaign. Junior Aiden Smith put together one of the finest offensive seasons in program history with a .411 batting average, 69 hits, and a .505 on-base percentage. Smith also tied the program record with 60 runs scored while earning AMC Second Team All-Conference honors and recognition as a Natural State Honorable Mention selection.
Sophomore Lawson DeVault enjoyed a breakout season of his own, rewriting several entries in the record book. DeVault set new program standards with 16 doubles, 48 RBIs, 13 stolen bases, 19 hit-by-pitches, and a .505 on-base percentage. Like Smith, he also tied the school record with 60 runs scored and earned Natural State Honorable Mention honors following his impressive Pioneer debut season.
Power production came from JP Wills, who established a new program record with 10 home runs. Wills earned AMC Second Team All-Conference recognition and was named AMC Hitter of the Week during the season, and is the first Pioneer to reach double-digit homers in a single season.
The Pioneers' success was reflected in the conference awards announced throughout the year. Crowley's Ridge collected seven AMC weekly honors, including Hitter of the Week selections for JP Wills, Kolby Webb, Reece Bariola, Lawson DeVault (twice), and Aiden Smith. Brennon Burch added AMC Pitcher of the Week honors, while Jordan Brown was recognized as the AMC Champion of Character for his leadership and commitment both on and off the field.
The accomplishments of the 2025-26 season also extended beyond the playing field. Head Coach Spencer Adcock was named Natural State Coach of the Year after guiding the Pioneers through one of the most successful and productive seasons in program history. In the classroom, Crowley's Ridge posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.10 and recorded a 3.30 GPA during the fall semester, demonstrating the program's commitment to academic excellence.
When the season came to a close, the Pioneers had earned Top-25 national rankings in four offensive categories, led the AMC in multiple statistical categories, produced several record-breaking individual performances, captured seven conference weekly awards, and celebrated both statewide and conference recognition.
More importantly, the 2025-26 campaign established a new benchmark for Crowley's Ridge College Baseball. Through record-setting performances, team success, and excellence in the classroom, the Pioneers left a lasting mark on the program and created a foundation for future teams to build upon.
