Jordan Kerner Named Assistant Coach for Crowley's Ridge Men's Basketball

Jordan Kerner brings nearly a decade of coaching experience across the high school, collegiate, and youth basketball ranks, with previous stops at Fort Wayne Canterbury School (Ind.), Christian Academy of Indiana, Indiana University Southeast, Asbury University, Cincinnati Christian University, and Team Focus Basketball. Throughout his career, he has contributed in all facets of program operations, including recruiting, scouting, player development, practice planning, game preparation, and in-game strategy.

Prior to arriving at Crowley's Ridge, Kerner served as Associate Head Coach at Fort Wayne Canterbury School, helping guide the Cavaliers to a sectional-favorite campaign while assisting with offensive and defensive development, scouting, and player growth. He also spent time as Associate Head Coach at Christian Academy of Indiana, where the program improved its win total and advanced to the sectional championship game.

At the collegiate level, Kerner has coached at multiple NAIA institutions, including Indiana University Southeast, Asbury University, and Cincinnati Christian University. During his tenure at Indiana University Southeast, the Grenadiers led the NAIA in turnover margin and ranked among the nation's leaders in steals and assist-to-turnover ratio. At Cincinnati Christian, he helped guide the Eagles to an NCCAA Regional Championship Final appearance while contributing to a team that ranked among the nation's leaders in rebounding, scoring offense, and three-point shooting.

Recognized for his commitment to player development, Kerner has helped mentor multiple NAIA All-Americans, developed three professional players who signed overseas contracts in Iceland, Germany, and Australia, and assisted more than 30 student-athletes in advancing to the collegiate level. He was hired as an NAIA  Associate Head Coach at the age of 23 and has been part of programs that have accumulated more than 150 victories throughout his coaching career.

A native of Indiana, Kerner earned a bachelor's degree in Communication from Indiana University and a Master of Science in Psychology from Capella University. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Performance Psychology at Grand Canyon University. His coaching philosophy centers on building meaningful relationships, developing the whole student-athlete, and creating a culture of accountability, growth, and competitive excellence. Jordan has a daughter, Millie Jo, and enjoys reading, music, staying active, and spending time with family and friends.
