Adcock Named Natural State Baseball Coach of the Year, Smith and DeVault Earn Recognition

Wil Teague, Sports Information Director | June 9, 2026

Paragould, AR – The 2026 All-Arkansas Collegiate Team was officially released today by Natural State Baseball, and three members of Pioneer Baseball were recognized for their outstanding accomplishments during the 2026 season.

Leading the honors was Head Coach Spencer Adcock, who was named Coach of the Year after guiding the NAIA Pioneers through a remarkable turnaround. Under Adcock's leadership, Crowley's Ridge improved from an 8–42 record in 2025 to a 19–27–1 mark in 2026.

On the player side, sophomore Lawson DeVault and junior Aiden Smith earned Honorable Mention recognition following standout campaigns on the diamond.

DeVault capped off his first season with the Pioneers by batting .369 with eight home runs and a team-leading 48 RBIs. Smith also made an immediate impact in his inaugural season, posting a .411 batting average with six home runs and 31 RBIs. Both players appeared in all 46 games for the Pioneers during the 2026 season.

Following the announcement, Coach Adcock reflected on the honor and the program's direction:

"I am truly humbled and grateful for this recognition. More than anything, I hope it serves as a reflection of the direction our program is headed and the foundation that this year's team helped establish for the future of Pioneer Baseball.

This honor is shared with Coach Price and Coach Beal, who have been instrumental in our success. They show up every day and pour into our players, handling everything from strength and conditioning, study hall, recruiting, scouting reports, field maintenance, and countless responsibilities behind the scenes. Their commitment to our student-athletes and our program cannot be overstated.

I am also incredibly thankful for our players. Every young man on our roster took a chance on our staff and on Crowley's Ridge College. They showed up each day with a willingness to work, compete, and embrace the standards and expectations we set for the program. The progress we made this season is a direct result of their commitment and sacrifice.

While we are thankful for this recognition, our mission remains unchanged: to develop Christ-centered student-athletes and help prepare young men for success both on and off the field. We are proud of what has been built, but we are even more excited about what lies ahead."

Congratulations to Coach Adcock, DeVault, and Smith on this well-deserved recognition and their contributions to Pioneer Baseball this season.
