DeVault Sets New Single-Season Doubles and RBI Record- Wil Teague, Sports Information Director, 4/13/26

Paragould, AR – Sophomore Lawson DeVault joined in on teammate Aiden Smith's historic success in the series against the Eagles of Williams Baptist University, as the Farmington, AR native also carved his name into the Pioneer record books.

DeVault became the program's single-season doubles leader with 14, surpassing Ryan Rogers (2017–18), who previously held the record with 13. DeVault broke the mark with an RBI double in the top of the third inning in game two of the series. 

The sophomore also stands as the program's single-season RBI leader, surpassing Bobby Wright's (2020–21) record of 42 RBIs. DeVault set the new mark during game three against CBC on April 3, driving in a run with a double in the fifth inning. He added two more RBIs in the series against WBU, hitting .300 (3-for-10) with a double, and now leads the team with 45 on the season.

With still a few games remaining on the schedule, DeVault now has the opportunity to continue building on his record-setting campaign and further solidify one of the most impressive offensive seasons in program history.
